Most oil and gas fields discovered in 20192019 witnessed discovering several oil and gas fields in many countries around the world, will be granted economic and political importance and reflective of some conflicts in these countries.
These are most oil and gas fields discovered in 2019:

A gas field in Xinjiang, China Oct. 2019

Xinjiang, China
The Tarim oilfield branch of PetroChina, China's largest oil and gas producer, said Thursday that they discovered a huge gas field with an estimated reserve of 115.3 billion cubic meters in Xinjiang's Tarim Basin. The daily output of 418,200 cubic meters of natural gas and 115.15 cubic meters of gas condensate.
The gas field has been estimated to contain 115.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 21.66 million tons of gas condensate. The Tarim oilfield provides natural gas to a total of 15 provincial-level regions in northern and eastern China via the country's West-to-East gas pipelines. (Source: Xinhaua net)

Oil and gas field in Thrace, Turkey 20 Nov. 2019

Thrace, Turkey
The exploration operations by the Norwegian energy giant Equinor, previously Statoil, and Canadian energy firm Valeura in Turkish Thrace have reportedly resulted in a gas discovery of 286 billion cubic meters (bcm), corresponding to nearly five years of Turkey’s gas demand.
The discovery in the Thrace province of Tekirdağ’s Muratlı district was reported to be in the field of a local farmer. Equinor and Valeura’s discovery was also hailed by the people in the Yukarısırt village in Muratlı.
Equinor's partner Canadian company Valeura said on Nov. 13 that its main focus during the third quarter of 2019 was on the simulation and testing of the İnanli-1 well in Turkey's Thrace Basin, as all four zones produced gas at stabilized rates.
According to Valeura, data from the İnanli-1 well is being analyzed in conjunction with petrophysical and core data acquired during drilling operations to further correlate results and continue refining the forward appraisal program. (Source: Daily Sabah)

Oil and gas field in Khuzestan, Iran 13 Oct. 2019

Khuzestan, Iran
Iran has discovered an oil field in the country’s south with more than 50 billion barrels of crude oil, a development that could bolster the nation’s proven reserves by a third as it struggles to sell energy abroad. The field was in the southern province of Khuzestan, home to its crucial oil industry. Some 53 billion barrels would be added to Iran’s proven reserves of 150 billion. (Source: NY Time)

A gas field in BirAllah, Mauritania 28 Oct. 2019

BirAllah, Mauritania
The Orca-1 discovery offshore Mauritania is the largest gas discovery in 2019, Rystad Energy has confirmed.
The deepest and largest discovery so far this year, Rystad Energy estimates Orca-1 holds around 1.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) of recoverable resources. Kosmos Energy revealed Monday that a "major” gas discovery had been made through the offshore Mauritania Orca-1 exploration well.
The BirAllah area situated Orca-1 well, which targeted a previously untested Albian play, exceeded pre-drill expectations and encountered 118 feet of net gas pay in "excellent quality reservoirs”, according to Kosmos.
Located around 77 miles offshore Mauritania, the Orca-1 well was drilled in approximately 8,234 feet of water to a total measured depth of around 17,276 feet. Partners in the BirAllah gas hub include SMHPM, BP, and Kosmos. (Source: Rig Zone)

Oil field in Suez, Egypt 19 Des. 2019

Suez, Egypt
Eni announced a new oil discovery in Gulf of Suez offshore Egypt
Italian Company Eni announced the discovery of new resources in Abu Rudies Sidri development lease, in the Gulf of Suez, with estimations to contain about 200 million barrels of oil in place.
The discovery was made where the operating company Petrobel, equally held by Eni and by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), drilled an appraisal well of the discovery of Sidri South, announced in July.
According to Eni, Petrobel immediately conceived a rapid development plan for the new discovery with a "fast-track" approach, leveraging on existing infrastructures in the vicinity of the well and maximizing facilities synergies.
The Sidri 36 appraisal well, drilled to assess the field continuity westward in a down-dip position with respect to Sidri-23 discovery well, encountered an important hydrocarbon column in the clastic sequences of the Nubia Formation (200 meters of hydrocarbon column), the company clarified. Oil field in Tabasco, Mexico 7 Des. 2019

Tabasco, Mexico
Mexican state oil company Pemex said it has discovered a deposit in southeastern Mexico that could yield 500 million barrels of crude, calling it the largest such finding in more than 30 years. Pemex said it first discovered the field in Tabasco state in May, before beginning studies to evaluate its viability. The site, called Quesqui, is a so-called 3P reserve, made up of deposits considered proven, probable and possible.
The analysis of information provided by this well and seismic data in the area can confirm today the existence of a giant deposit equivalent to 500 million barrels of crude oil in a 3P reserve. (Source: Reuters)
